hey guys and gals -

what's the best way to mount spare 'jerry' cans to a disco one without a roof rack? anyone know of any spare tire mounted can holders? i've sent an email to jl 4wd but no answer as of yet.

IMO that's too much weight for the rear door. When I take one with me, I just strap it down in the loadspace area under my other crap. Use a ratchet or cinch strap to lash it down to the d-rings in there.

The ones you mount to the 4 7/16FT holes in your loadspace floor. Lift up the carpet, insulation, and remove the plastic plugs, and there they are.

You can get the ones designed for the Disco 2 from the dealer, or just get something from the hardware store. either way you will have to provide your own hardware. I have no pics.
