Hey Guys..
Just went to LR Grand Rapids today to get my steering wheel aligned, it seemed to be a bit off. I was told this..
I need a new rear track rod assy. ($450 w/labor) and a new tie rod.. (got that done and my brakes too).. Either way, I was told I need to come back as soon as possible to (this week he said) to get the new rear track rod assy. or my tires would be toast.. I just got 4 brand new mich's put on and it seems like he is blowing it out of proportion a bit.. What do you guys think? I just moved, got new tires, brakes, and tie rod done so money is a bit tight but I need to know how serious this is..
By the way, the reason for the new rear track rod is becuase it was bent..
Let me know, thanks..

Ben,
Go to rockware.net and get theirs. It is like 100 duckets. It is easy to install. They are right I would not wait on it but I think they are exsagerating a bit.

Rovertym has an entire replacement. It made of solid stainless steel alloy (much better that tube steel). www.rovertym.com

Thanks for the help guys..
The service manager their told me to be careful if I did it myself in that I may possibly not be able to align it properly my self?! Not sure.. I am not to good with mechanics but I'll try just about anything..
Also, I did not see the rear tract/track rod assy. on rockware.net?!? Where is it at?
Thanks so much again..

Sorry Ben,
Rockware only makes the front ones (tie rod, and something else I never know the names) but I am sure he could make you one of the track rod too as it is the same thing basically. The other guys are right rovertym's is probably better. You could also straiten and sleeve your current one too if you are short on cash.

I bought a tie rod and drag link from Rockware about a year ago for $100 for the set (no core). They even threw in a couple of used rod ends!
They have held up well. The drag link has a lot of scratches, but no dents or bends. The tie rod is in a SG rock gard tube, so its protected. The RW tie rod is cheaper then stock, so I bought the beefy one anyway.
