saw and article on aol -

apparently you are more likely to be killed if driving a 4 runner than any other suv, and the montero is doing the trooper side wheelies.

Interesting. The 4Runner gets very good marks in the crash testing, but maybe people are over confident and going past their abilities as drivers? Loads of them on the road, too, so that increases the possibilities I suppose. I looked into the Montero and said, "NEXT!" Care to copy and paste the salient parts of the article?

P.S. When I test drove the 4Runner I thought there was a lot of body roll in dry conditions/slow speed turns. Ditto for the Tahoe I drove.

karen -

went to get url for article and it was gone - but these were gov't crash test results - combined with 'real world' traffic accidents. i too drove the 4runner and i felt like i was driving a cigar tube. looking at the montero - which i had considered at one time, it drove to 'boringly'. and was sooo happy to get my disco back from it's 30k service! as i see more of them on the road - they look like chrome trimmed clap-traps! if the article pops back up i'll snag the url for you.

ps - colour is VERY important in choice of car. it conveys presence and personality of the owner and makes the car look different. the colour you choose says volumes about yourself, metal state and who you are. not only that but the car feels different in each colour!

Steve,

Tell me about your childhood.....when did you first become aware of color? ROTFLOL!

Hey, if the article pops up you might need to copy/paste as the URL might only be operable for AOL'rs. Funny you should refer to the 4Runner as a "cigar". Do you have cigar dreams? Ever dream of snakes? LOL!

Dr. Karen Freud, who is well aware her White Gold Disco screams CHICK CAR! LOL!

ah - frauline dr. jones.....

"it all began with legos. the red ones tasted better than the white. blue were not to be chewed. green was fair game..."

that article is major gone. they also roasted a few other toyota products as death traps - my guess toyota found out, the lawyers and it was pulled. seriously.

never had a cigar dream that i know of - and snakes...hmmm, don;t really dream of snakes. though i was visited by the snake queen when i was five.....

actually white gold is a soothing near neutral colour - it converys someone who is stable, most likely married, mature. is happy with where they are at in life and feel secure in it. they feel a strong connection to the land. they are most likely not very aggressive though sharp minded and meticulous but not neurotic. in the age skew - more likely to be chosen by younger females or older males. howzthat!

Actually, I have a tendancy to buy my sporty cars based on FIA sanctioned racing colors. What would a head doc say about that ?

You know:

German cars are silver
Italian cars are red
Brit cars are BRG
French cars (..ahhhhhhhhhhhh) are blue

Well, I really didn't have a choice....I searched, and searched, and even searched for the bronze RR Classic, but I was told it wasn't offered in 1994 as a color for the SWB...so-It was BRG aka, British Racing Green....
And Discosaurus, you're correct.....damn, that is the most onpoint color breakdown I've come accross in years....

And if your a American Ford owner....that funny looking Burgundy-with the itchy matching color Velour interior...

Steve,

Just jotting down a few notes in your file....."Inappropriate use of toys......fraternizing with reptile-draped older women....."

Hey, excellent analysis of my car color, but I think you were cheating and reading my other posts, LOL!

Karen, off to earn Disco $$...sheesh.....

now i feel like i'm on the spot. having had a white yeip, that was also from time to time zebra or tiger striped - here goes.

white appeals to individuals who like order, but are not necessarily meticulous. they may or may not be in a committed relationship, though they are inherently 'nesters'. aside from the heat and car wash issues of white which show a strong trend to thought practicality (which they may or may not exercise all the time), they can also be very emotional, but not to the extent of a red car. people who choose white are probably fashion aware but not necessarily obsessive like a black car owner. they will range in the spectrum of couldn't careless to 'see these are the jeans on the cover of ym'. 'whites' will go to the gym - and can be moderrates there or fanatics, and are more likely to take classes vs. indiviual workout as the structure appeals to them.

now for zebra striped - extroverts with a strong sense of humour. they like to be noticed, but don't like to admit they take themselves too seriously. obviously their rig will stang out more than any other on the road and people will point and stare. they are aware of the attention, like it in an understated way, but do not rely on it as their self confidence in not fueled from external source. depending on the spectra of their own internal ego, the zebramobile can be a source of pride and almost embarrasment as being too over the top.

so what do you think?

if i had a white disco - it would have stripes..
and if anyone can post a pic - i have one of my old rig - which should tell people alot about me!

mtb- is your wife wants a stipped disco - that is a good thing, that means she does not source her self confidence thru her sexuality and physical appearance ego, she has an alternative source. translation, good news! - she exhibits a strong tendancy to be faithful.

karen - i can see a round circular table of natural wood up against a wall - kitchen? also see a golden brown suede/cloth with a rough texture something. jacket?, curtains? - now bear in mind this is what i am interpreting, not necessarily what is there. it could be the colours of your energy or thoughts.
