My 97 makes a thump noise every time I accelerate from a stop. It seems to be located near the driver's floor board. Any ideas on what might be causing it?
Thanks

Yes. I had a similar problem. The bushings on the driver's side front radius arm needs to be refitted/repacked/replaced. Should cure the problem. The radius arm is the long steel bar that is visible when you look in the front tire wheel between the tire and the front door.

I remember reading about the front propeller shaft and the splines which started to wear, thus slack in the drivetrain. So, when you are aggressive from a stop, a subtle THUMP is felt under your feet.
Before I purchased my Disco, I drove several dealer demos that had that same problem.
So, before you start replacing stuff, I would do a little more research from this board. This is where I initially saw this posting.
How you will be able to research a past posting since the revising of this board is the real question.
