I found a 2000 DISCOII front end and axel Damage.
Seller states it needs front clip, radiator, front axel and some electronics.
My main purpose is to build an true offroad DiscoII.
ANy ideas if its worth it or pricing info on used or cheap parts.

there ws one on ebay - a silver one in sacramento for $6K- looked pretty pranged up - i'd say if the frame was straigt you'd have a fighting chance. bear in mind you might be able to start finding hi mileage 99 disco II's off lease for mid to upper teens...

I'm into my 18 month of rebuilding a Disco that was barely wrecked. It was hit high on the passenger side. It only needed an A pillar and frame for the windshield. No bag damage, it runs perfect and drives. Started out as a $2500 dollar fix and now it's over $10K. All I can say is if youre gonna do it make sure you have the patience and extra cash. That $6K dollar DII could turn out to cost you more than you can find a suitable offroad D1 that doesn't need anything. You can find a donor D1 that doesn't need anywork for less than $10K. I bought an 94 that needed a transfer case for $3800. Think hard about it!

My '01 DII was recently wrecked in the front end. No suspension damage, but all of the sheetmetal forward of the front wheels was detroyed. The original repair was written at $9,500.
Once the damaged parts were removed, the front corner of the frame rail was exposed and it is also tweaked at the gusset to the crossmember. Now there's a new frame on order (which is taking forever to get here). The new total of the repairs will be ~$14,000!
Whether I keep this or not, I intend to pursue an additional claim for the diminished value of my 9,000 mile DII. So far, the insurance company handling this claim (not mine)has been pretty good. Now that I am pursuing the diminished value claim, I expect their position will become pretty cold real soon.
My question for you guys is this, if rebuilt by a professional shop, is there any reason to try and unload this and replace it with another? Or, will a "half hand-built" DII be equal to the orginal?
