The 245/75/16 BFG MT (and most other MT/AT of this size)have a recommended rim width of 7.5" or less. The Disco II rims are 8" wide. Is this a problem to worry about or not?
Cheers

The 265/75/16 BFG MT are 7-8 inch rims, if that's any indication.

I saw that the 265's would be wider, but I think they would rub on an otherwise stock Disco II. If they wouldn't rub, I will go those...

chris the trek discos run the 245-75 in the 8" rims - i think you'll be fine. but if you plan to OME lift the car - then 265-75 are the ones recommended

I got 265/75/R16 on stock D2 and so far it only rubs a little on the plastic sheet directly in front of the front wheels, and only when turning. I riveted a sheet of steel there so it won't rub through. Have been off roading / mudding once since I bought them, no other rubbing occurred.

Ps these are the new KMs, which are slightly taller than the previous MTs. They are on 16x7 rims.
