I am trying to find a suitable tool to use to get my fan blade and viscous clutch off of my 96 Disco. The dealer uses a special tool for this that is not for sale and the repair manual says to use a 36mm open end wrench. I can't find one anywhere. Can anyone suggest or help ???

Thank You
Andre'

Use a monkeywrench/adjustable spanner. No big force is needed, usually just a "snap" is needed. Remember it's threaded "wrong way" (links). Stand on right hand side of vehicle. Hold fanblades tight w/left hand and give your spanner a knock w/right hand.
Luck!

Just to clarify, "links" is german for what we call "left hand thread" here in the US.
