I am not sure that this is purely technical, but...

I am thinking of buying a Discovery, and actually have one in mind so I thought I would ask what seems to be the definitive source (DiscoWeb) and get an idea.

First the particulars. The truck I am looking at is a 1995 Disco with approx 90kmi. It has been well maintained for the last couple years, (I would be the 3rd owner) though it has been heavily modified. The modifications include, an ARB bumper with SuperWinch X9, a snorkel, 3" of lift, BFG 235/85 MTs, sliders, GBR heavy duty axle shafts and a Detroit locker in the rear, and a wilderness rack with Hella lights.

Obviously this truck has been off-road a lot, but it seems very solid, it runs great and has had a lot of new parts to fix what I would see as some of the more expensive problems (fuel pump, catalytic converters, etc.)

So, what would be a fair price, the owner is toying with the idea of selling it, and it seems like a well built rig. He did the work himself and it is meticulous.

Thanks in advance.

Chris.

What kind of 3" lift? This can be acheived in ways ranging from a few hundred to a couple thousand.

And where is the truck? I noticed you gave the mileage in kilometers so that would greatly affect its resale value.

Sounds like the prev owner knew what he was doing. Don't let all the add-ons scare you. All that means is that the Rover was used as intended, not (necessarily) abused. Besides, buying this rig will save you the time (and money) of doing all these mods yourself. I'd be more scared of a mallcrawler with 90k.

P,

No, that's 90k mi.... 90,000 mi....

A '94-'95, clean, w/ that mileage, around $10k; add a bit for the mods if they are a plus in your opinion.... $12k maybe, more if you're generous...

IMHO, YMMV, yada yada.....
