Hello,
Has anyone wired their disco for a seven prong trailer light package? How about trailer brake controller set up?
I want to tackle this project this weekend and I will need some help.
Thanks,
Todd

I bought the factory setup, it includes everything you need to hook up the seven wire plug for lights, it doesn't include the brake controller wiring, but that should be straight-forward. Using the factory parts was worth it, since it just plugs into the wiring harness.

this is as far as i got on wireing up the 7 pin
land rover color:
green/purple = brake
orange/red= lights
green/red= left turn sig
green/white= right turn sig
this will let you wire ANY 4 pin, not just u-haul
(already seprate from the factory)
green/brown = reverse lights
solid purple = constant power
now,, there are a few more wires that i never did figure out. seems there is another that appears to have power like the orage/red wire. i ran out of time and gave up on the project. so splease let me know what the land rover wires mean when/if you find out.
thanks
rob

On the D1 it looks like the same connector that the Range Rover had. There is a cable PRC4143 that has the circular connector on one end and tinned leads on the other. On my '87 Range Rover classic, I just soldered the uhaul and heat shrinked the connections.
