I went looking for a ball joint seperator and couldn't find one. One guy said to take the nut to the end of the bolt andd pound em out. Is this the way? C'mon I gotta get my new arms on today!! Thanks, Mike

Mike, for any tie rod end or ball joint - use a heavy hammer/maul and strike the area where the tie rod goes through its mounting surface sharply a few times - this will loosen it through vibration. Don't pound on the tie rod end/ball joint itself - that will only ruin it. It's a bit more difficult for the front swaybar mounts, but you can use a long drift and place it against the collar that the joint goes through. Strike that collar a few times and it will pop free. BTW - if you're doing the track rod or drag link, make sure to pound in the direction of the arm on the knuckle and not sideways - ie: hammer in the direction of strength of the part.

The Tie rod end remover (ball joint remover) looks like a tuning fork with inclined planes as forks. availble at any auto parts store. Am I talking about the wrong tool? If so please let me know.
