I;m sure i'm no the first to make this blatantly obvious observation, but I have to get it off my chest! I did my first oil change this weekend... WTF is with the size of the drain plug? Ive got some pretty big tools around, but nothing that big! I had to get a plumber's adjustable wrench after that thing. What in the world were these guys thinking? That thing is huge!

The drain is on the side to keep of from hanging up on things. The big size means it should not strip like other drain plugs. This is a feature. Besides, a man is known by the size of his tools, so go out and get yourself some big ones!

LOL,
Mike B.

Yeah, I too had to go out and buy another tool to drain the oil. Oh Darn!!! My big gripe is that the oil then drains out onto the exhaust pipe. When that heats up with use, I then have smoke coming from under my Discovery. How embarrasing!
