I recently installed OME MD schocks and springs with 10MM trim-packers front and back and an OME steering damper. Everything seemed fine for the first couple of weeks.

Now I have 2 problems:

1) There is some REALLY LOUD squeaking coming from below the car when it rocks (even when I am entering/exiting). I thought it was the shocks, but on closer examination it appears to be coming from the anti-sway bar bushings. Should I lube them, replace them or remove the anti-sway bars? I don't know much about removing them, but I know a lot of you guys do it. If I should lube them, what should I use?

2) There is a very rapid clicking sound (seems mechanical, not electrical) coming from my steering column. It seems to happen at higher speeds, but I cannot be sure this is the case yet. Is this the "driveline vibration" you guys always warn about with lifts? If it is, should I start by removing the trim-packers? Also, it might be connected to a new ignition switch the dealer installed a month ago.

Thanks in advance for any help,

-Marc

worn bushings will give you squeaks, grunts, creaks, groans, clicks, etc. You've changed some angles down there, so you are now potentially wearing your bushings at slightly different spots. Don't know about the "rapid clicking"...is it a regular click that increases with speed, or just an erratic click every now and then?

Gill,

It is regular in tempo, but it comes at random times and lasts for varying periods.

I figured the bushings might just be wearing in a new spot. Will that go away? Should I try to lube it? What about just taking the anti-sway bars off? Any safety concerns there?

Anybody else have this happen?

Marc, can't offer any input on the clicking...sorry. Lubing bushings isn't really proper...annoying squeaks should go away. If bushings are really worn, all you can really do is replace them. After my OME lift, I have all sorts of steering componentry clicking and clacking. I know I need to replace bushings.
