I am seriously considering the purchase of a Discovery but am concerned that the nearest dealership is 80 miles away, in Richmond, VA. Has anyone worked with these folks? How is their service? Have you used their vehicle shuttle service? How has that worked out? Any comments you have will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I've been happy with most of the work done at the dealer in Richmond, VA. If you are looking at buying talk to Drew, he's one of their mechanics that started selling the vehicles recently and he also works for John at Rovertym. Where are you located? I'm sure others here can recommend good shops in your area so you don't have to drive to the dealer all the time. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the Richmond dealer.

Thanks Al -
I am located in Charlottesville - If you or anyone else know of any good shops in the area please let me know.
I'll be headed back to Richmond in a couple of weeks and will try to hook up with Drew.
Thanks again,
Derald

I can't believe a yuppie spawning ground like Charlottesvile doesn't have a dealer.

Hard to believe but true. Yuppies don't want for rides here, they're pretty well covered. Unfortunately if you're looking for an honest-to-goodness SUV, it's off to DC or Richmond.

I believe Enoch Snyder is from Charlottesville too, maybe he can give you the name of a good shop up there. After you buy your ride you gotta post some pics, BTW is this a ride for trails or just the daily commute?
whatever it is, have fun with your new disco.

First and foremost, the truck is to tow a boat (next on my list). If all I wanted was a comfortable commuter, Id probably be shopping for a car. Ill eventually find the trails, but have my sights set on the dock right now.
