Hello All,
I recently spotted a Disco I with a set of BFG 245 75s. This truck looked great, but I couldn't tell if and/or how much lift it may have had. I believe someone posted about using this size w/out lift.
It was in a parking lot, and I figured after circling it twice I was probably at risk of raising some eyebrows. Otherwise, I would have nosed under to examine the springs.:)

Can anyone point me to a pic of a Disco I with this tire size w/out lift?

Thanks in advance!

There was(is, haven't seen it in awile) a red 95' Disco for sale around my neighborhood that had 245/75 BFG All-Terrains with no lift. If I see it, i'll take a pic for you. Those tires really filled up the wheel wells. When I looked closer, it didn't appear to have any trimming either.

I have seen a few Disco Is with 245/75 for sale....most were an all terrain tire or a Michelin 4 season. No trimming, very little rubbing. However, these vehicles did not look like they had been off roaded by the look of the underside of the truck. They will probably be ok depending on the tread pattern, but be on the lookout for rubbage and bump stops will probably have to be adjusted. I suppose it also depends on how new/old the suspension is (in terms of sag).

My $.02

For what it is worth, I installed 245/70/16 BFG AT KO tires on my '96 Disco and I've taken it off road twice and I didn't have any problems. If I did the math right, my tire size is 10 mm (around 0.4 of an inch) taller than the stock tire. The 245/75 tire would be 19 mm (around .75 of an inch)taller than the stock tire.
