Been told it simply requires you to remove the plastic moulding that the number plate is on. The
A-Bar then bolts through the two holes that it was using.
A Bar is Plastic with high density foam inside.

ha ha - actually, if that's really how the bar is mounted, it's really just a cosmetic add-on, or a good place to mount lights. If that's what you're looking for, then sounds like an easy install and a good looking A-Bar to boot!
