was under my truck this morning and there is goo oil l/ grease? all over the inside of the r/f wheel around the swivel - what is this? is it ok to drive? if the car had cv joints- i'd say one was bust, and now my new brake pads are making noise.....

When my wheel bearings went, there was goo
lots of goo, it was all the broken down grease spewing all around when I drove
coudl be it? just a thought

so when you do a brake job (pads only) on the front - do the bearings get adjusted? could the dealer of f/u it up? sure looks like cv grease though from my old audi days...

Steve, the bearings are not adjusted in my experience at the dealer, when just having pads replaced. They might look at them when you are having a full work up, but I dont think when you are just getting pads re done.
