Does anyone use a shop that will service the disco's that isn't the scottsdale dealership. I have to get my break pads replaced and thought 600 bucks was a little high. Thanks

If you're talking about a DI, $600 is about $599 too high. :) Brake pads are probably the easiest thing you can do yourself. I'd be happy to show you how.

As far as alternative service centers go, I have a contact. I don't know if he does Rovers anymore, but it's worth a try. Land Rover Scottsdale effectively squeezed him out of the Rover market by refusing to sell him parts. Depending on the service you need, though, that might not matter. He's a good, honest man and a damned fine mechanic. Here's his info:

Lonny Vanatta
Harrison Connor Automotive Technology
8295 E. Raintree Dr.
Scottsdale, AZ 85260
480-596-3701

Lonny had a '95 Disco, but I believe he sold it. I haven't talked to him in quite a while, but tell him I referred you anyway.
