Is anyone out there has headers installed on their Disco 1? Would like to know where did you get it? Thanks

Ya, I recently cracked my second exhaust manifold and I also am interested in getting headers.

Since it was under warranty I am currently running with a new stock manifold but in the future I would like to run some kind of header.

What brands are people using?
Is anyone having problems passing smog test?
Are there performance gains?

thanks...
Brian

RPI and D&T come to mind. The first in UK and the second in AUS. There should be plenty of gain somewhere in the powerband and since both of these are made specifically for the Disco, it should be in the usable range. As far as smog legal, I guess that depends where you live. Some states don't care as long as the pipe's clean, but I understand that CA has CARB, which requires certified parts with CARB numbers associated with them. The state I live in doesn't even has vehicle inspection, much less smog tests.

Looks like I just have to take it off during smog inspection. :)
