I hope this makes sense to someone.
I am hearing a "clicking" sound from my engine at idle. It either goes away, or is drowned out by the engine at higher speeds.
I think I remember a post about a bad or stuck lifter making this type of sound.
Does this sound familiar?

Daniel,
A broken catalyst on the right side exhaust can also be an intermittent sound. An easy test is to thump the exhaust/catalyst and see if the noise is still present. Try it with the engine off! It will sound like a baseball sized rock inside a tin can.
Another problem area is rocker arms, and other than using a stethoscope or screwdriver handle held to your ear to pinpoint the noise, involves taking stuff off of the engine to listen.

It is a very regular sound when it occurs. Follows engine speen. I think it's about time to put my extended warranty to good use.
I will try as you suggested w/the cat, but I think I'll let the pro's get into taking it apart.

Jim,
I do think I have one of those, too. I hear a faint popping when I am driving at highway speeds and I let off the gas. This goes away once everything gets heated up.
Could this all be related?

I had the same symptoms that you seem to have and it started getting worse and worse. Got the exhaust manifold replaced and it was gone.

Would this be considered emissions related? (and covered under the government mandated warranty)
I would assume so, because it your exhaust manifold if cracked, you would be leaking straight exhaust, right?

nope I tried that angle and they said no. I even called Land Rover North America and they said no-go.
