I might need to convert to a 5 speed from auto (LONG story). What is different? I will need the clutch master and pedal assembly and the shifter lever and boot buut what else is different?

The trans may be a different length so new drive shafts will be needed. I'm pretty sure it would uses a different ECU because there is no torque converter lock-up to control.

It is the same length. LT77 is shorter, R380 and ZF are the same, In any case only the engine moves (weird I know) the T case is always in the same place so you don't need to swap shafts. ECU is irrelavant I am going diesel

ron,
the bellhousings are different. i would also get all the lines and shit as well as a new brake pedal(go to a junkyard). other than that i think your in the clear for a long and tedious swap. you might want to get the rebuld kits for the slave and master as they sit a while and the rubber might get cruddy. keep us informed.
