How do I reset check engine light?

If it was a 'hiccup' in the system that triggered the light you can try the following. But if there is an actual fault somewhere (for example, if you needed new O2 sensors) the light will come back on again.
1 put key in ignition in 'off' position
2 pull fuel injector fuse from under the hood
3 turn key to on postion, but don't start engine, and count to three seconds then turn to 'off' position
4 replace fuse
5 start engine - check engine light should be off, unless a fault is detected again
I think this light will also turn itself off after something like 6 complete on/off temperature cycles of the engine - again, only if the fault is not detected again.
Best idea is to try the above procedure and if it doesn't clear the light get a scan tool hooked up to read the fault code and determine what the exact problem is.

Have you tried disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery? Wait a few secs then reconnect. Like Stephen says, if there is a problem, the Check Engine light will trigger again.

Is that fuse/key method supposed to work on a 95 Disco? I reset mine once but I just removed the neg. terminal on the battery.
