Seems like im posting a new problem on here every week or so! hehe, truthfully though, my Disco treats me right!

I've recently noticed that if im idling for too long, such as sitting in line at McDonalds or the bank teller line for more than 5-6 minutes, my temp guage starts to inch up. Within 8 minutes, its pretty close to the top of the safe range. As soon as i drive off, it goes right back to normalcy again. No other temp problems ever. Just if i sit still at idle for a while. This really doesnt sound to me like a poor thermostat, but i may be wrong. any suggestions? anyone else ever have this happen?

Mine was doing that (in Phoenix, AZ area...HOT!) and I found that my upper radiator hose was leaking just a little. I was able to pull it off the neck on the engine and trim about 1 1/2" off and put it back on. Put some more antifreeze in it and it hasn't done it since. I don't know why, it still had plenty of antifreeze in it. It eventually got really low and that's when I had to fix it.
