As my wife's disco is getting older(95), seriously considering extended warranty. I know Hal carries one and has anybody had any experience with his program and which one should I choose between premier or premier ultra if I go with Hal's?
I'm open to other warranty programs as well.
Any recommendation or feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes to all disco lovers,
Jinwoo

I have one from Hal. Is this bad that I know him on a first name basis? Mine is the Premier from Buyers Choice. He sells different types from different companies of course. Have not really needed to use mine on this rover, but had him with my first one and it worked great. That one was an API. Actually I liked it better, since the company paid the service department directly. Instead now I have to pay and then wait for Buyers Choice to pay me back. No big deal. Try www.roverguy.com for alternatives.

We have seen anumber of different warranty programs on the Land Rovers that come through our shop. I don't really prefer one over another, but they have paid for themselves for some of my customers. The only problem I have with aftermarket warranty programs is that they will not always pay for diagnosis on difficult problems. The customer has to pay for some things related to a repair that i feel should be included, but also , they are picking up hundreds and thousands of dollars on some repairs!
Good luck!
Trevor

Good post, Trevor.
- I've used aftermarket warranties before, but not with a Rover (mine's new). I did, however, purchase an extended warranty for the Rover that was not the factory warranty. What I did beforehand, was took out a little time, and called around to all locations that could service the truck (and a few ford dealers, etc. for good measure) and asked to speak with whoever handled the repairs/billing for warranty work. I found out quite a bit from that, most were very helpful and willing to share who/which warranty companies they (and their customers) most consistantly had fewest problems & good results with. After speaking to enough of them, you should hopefully have a good idea of what may work the best for you. May be worth a try ... just my 2 cents. :)
