Has anybody run this suspension on their Discoverys? I didn't know that they made suspension systems for Land Rovers. According to LRM magazine, the suspension would cost about $520 USD. It includes 4, 2-3 inch springs and 4 ES9000 shocks(the best they make). Options include: extended stainless steel brake lines, axle correction wedges, poly pushings on all arms, and steering dampener. They claim that you will have 14" of travel in the rear.

i'm running ES9000 shocks with my 3" RTE springs, cones and shock mounts.
$520 for shocks and springs? seems high.
$125 for 4 shocks and $275 for the RTE springs.

i had a pro comp suspension on my yiep and it was terrible - made it into a stake board, the shocks were the 3000s. maybe the 9000's are nicer - but i would never buy it again. i'd do ome 1st,

Pro Comp makes a good suspension these days, especially for IFS vehicles. I know that in the past, people have had problems with them. In the US EPC order form, there are no Land Rover applications. In Europe, there are(www.explorercrocomp.co.uk)several applications including Series leaf springs. I'm pretty sure that you can order them direct from EPC in America.

Steve,
You and I wrote back and forth about the ProComp 9000's a few weeks back. I never posted my final impression.
I've been running them with stock springs for a month and a half or so and I've been very happy with them. I've not taken them off road, but they are way better than the stock shocks. (which in all fairness were pretty worn)
No problems with ride stiffness or cornering, and I have noticed a big improvement in faster turns over rough roads. It holds the turn way better.
I do think the weight difference lpays a part in this as well as the 3000 v/s 9000 itself.

Another nice feature is the lifetime warranty as long as you don't damaged the shock body.

I can't compare them to the more expensive shocks as I have no experience, but I think they're pretty good.

I am running them with OME MD springs all around. You can find them at 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers stores nationwide. I had to call and have them shipped to me, though. Overall, they seem to be OK. I have a couple of friends that have run them on older classics for a while and they have had nothing but success. Good luck!
