most are bolt on like the safari gard ones, but they are easy enough to tac weld on as well for good measure.

I just put both front & rear diff guards on my D2 2 weeks ago - Safarigard. (Kyle, please don't get mad at me:)) They were the only weld ons I could find for the D2 that would fit my budget.:) In my case, I live close enough, that I could pick them up, and had them welded on while I was there (I bought sliders too - they were having an internet special on sliders through Sept., and I saved a little $ on shipping as well).

I found that there are all sorts of good products out there, however the choices were a bit more limited when it came to weld on diff gaurds for the D2. I hear Rover's North has some very nice bolt ons that fit the D2 ...
