When I start the day, and the Rover in the morning, about the first 4 or 5 times that I use the brakes, they don't work nearly as good. When I go back out for lunch they are usually fine, and again after work. But first thing in the morning they just don't stop as easy. I've got to really stand on them if I forget that they aren't going to work and need to stop quick.
Whats the deal?

sounds like you are having a pressure loss augmented by temperatures. if i were to take a guess- i'd say brake booster has a leak - have a shop do a pressure test to check for internal and external leaks

I have never had to put fluid in it? What would be leaking, just air presure?

The leakage would most probably be internal; past the seals.

But if I take it to the shop, by the time I get there, they will work fine, so at that time the leak would no longer exist and they would find nothing. Right????

They will obviously want to keep it overnight so that they can observe the problem in the morning after it has sat.

...or it could be condensation or rust on your rotors that occurs overnight. Yes, your rotors can get a little surface oxidation overnight (especially if it's damp outside) and it may take a few stops before the brake pads clear all the moisture or rust.
Try this: as you're driving down the road first thing in the morning, lightly apply your brakes and "drag" them for several seconds, while accelerating or maintaining your speed. If after that they don't grab normally, then maybe you've got a leak as previously suggested.
