I am going to be getting OME HD springs with the stock set up. (have rancho 9000s stock size) do i need retainers for this set up if i remove the rear sway bar? thanks for your responses

If your Rancho's are truly the same length as the factory Woodhead shocks, then you will not need to retain your rear springs. Removing your rear swaybar does free up the rear articulation, but your rear axle cannot articulate more than the length of the shocks allow, and the Woodheads are not long enough to permit the stock springs to unseat, let alone the taller OME springs.
