Has anyone used maybe a gutter mount rail or factory rail mounted bar to mount lights? If so do you have picks? AB has a gutter mount bar that is short not the 8 inch one lik Thules, but states it is for RR classics only. Will this fit?Thanks, Matt G

Herky-

I know this may not be too much help, but I have been noticing a D1 driving in my area with a light bar that seems to attach to the factory bars. He has mounted two lights at the moment.

I haven't been able to flag him down to chat yet, so I am unable to offer greater depth into the matter.

Thanks for the Safety devices link, no pics but I e-mailed the to see if they would shoot me some. Also what do you mean by drilling the cross-bar? The thule fort the RR classic? I think the ?Thule for the disco 2 is like 8 inches from the roof or gutter mounts? Thanx for your help, Matt G
