Hey guys!

I got a 400$ cheaper price than any Warn or Ramsey. Do you recommend I go for the Superwinch?
Please convey your thoughts.

Thank you once again...

I have the SuperWinch X9 on my SafariGard bumper. That is the winch that SafariGard recommends. I haven't used mine yet, but I have seen others in use and it seems pretty good. I live in Florida (flat, sandy, and muddy), so it might really depend on where you will be wheeling.

LoL,
Mike

Hello Nadim,

Superwinch Makes an Excellent Product. Many will Argue that their winches are far superior to Warn and Ramsey Planetary winches. I've got an X-9 on my Discovery (ARB Bumper) and a Warn XD-9000i on My Defender, and Nissan Pathfinder. For the Money, I don't think you can beat the Super Winch X-9, it is every bit as good as the Warn Product, maybe even better. My Only Peeve would be that it is slower, and draws more current at the same loads than the Warn XD-9000 series, and comes with 25' less cable (Can never have enough it seems)...

Scott is right on. Also keep in mind that superwinch uses an 11in fairlead instead of 10in like warn so fitting it on an ARB requires a little finagling. Ditto for the LR genuine winch tray. It also has 100ft of cable just like the XD9000, but the XD9000i has 125 and the superwinch S9 only has 100ft. It is a slower than warn but its stall load is 11,900lbs whereas warn does not advertise stall load but it is probably more like 10,500 for a 9000 lbs winches.

Ron

PS how much I have a contact for warns pretty cheap if anyone is interested

Ron,

I'd be interested in a Warn 8274 for the Series, if it's cheap enough (I'm actually hoping to find a used one... it's a budget Rover!).

Email me a ballpark price if you would...

Thanks,

-L

nadim, what model superwinch is it?
if it's X9 or S9000, contantly check the engage/release lever screw...
that screw comes off easily.
maybe loctite it in its' place for good.

good luck.
