Just wondering if anyone has used this product. Has been around for quite some time. Strange though, it is an additive for your gasoline as well as your engine oil. Claims to improve mileage and lubricate engine when added to gas. Thanks.

I have seen it being used in competition in Lebanon. the 4 vehicles out of 6 that used it came in last!

It's like giving your child oyster oil for stregth!...milk is better, and cookies go with it!

I rebuilt the engine in my '72 88 in 1987. Used non-stellite exhaust valves that I had been keeping in reserve since '76 or so. Of course, leaded petrol disappeared a year later.

To avoid valve seat recession, I installed an Ampco vapor lubricator to inject a small amount of Marvel into the carb throat. Ran for 75,000 miles on unleaded fuel with a cylinder compression reading at or above factory specs (165#). Finally cracked a valve, but it was due to worn guides, not a lack of lead. MMO is great....

Not sure how it would work with oxygen sensors, tho'....

Used em to silence engine tapping but not 100% sure if its te right solution. It worked.

True story - A long time ago, I bought a raggedy old jeep CJ5. When oil change time rolled around, I did the usual thing and added 5 quarts of fresh oil. Checked the dip stick and guess what? There wasn't a drop on it. Started to add another quart and realized that the valve cover was completely filled with oil. Called a Senior Engineer at General Motors that I knew, (A real old timer) and asked the kind of stuff we see on the board. What do I do? Think I've hurt the engine? Will I have to remove the valve covers? If I do, what about all that oil that'll run everywhere? His advise? Pour in a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil, drive it for a couple of weeks and change the oil again. Never had the problem again, never had a problem with the engine. A quart of kerosene might have worked just as well, who knows...

It's great as a penetrating oil. My '94 Disco wouldn't lock in the transfer case, and wouldn't go into low range. Sprayed MMO up from beneath, onto the shafts above the tranny. 15 min later, worked the lever back and forth and got the locking and low range working. No problems since.

Im a new Land Disco owner and I just stumbled on to this post. If you want real performance cheap
try a product(runs about 1.97 us a can) called CHEMTOOL B-12 this stuff
is amazing. It takes dirt in your tank and erodes it. I have never seen a product that works as well as this stuff and no one seems to know about it. Anyway Its in most auto shops/.Thats all folks later
