Need help on installing OME castor corrections on my Old Man HD spring and Bilstein shock package. Does anyone have short cuts... detailed plans... etc??

thanks in advance

There is no short cut! The directions OME gives might or might not correct your angle but is a good start. You have to determine the amount of pinion angle change you want (on the vehicle)and lay the arm out the bench and mark the new desired angle before using the shop press to install new bushings. The biggest problem with the bushing is not enough flex from the lack of polyurethane in the bushing itself. Results are, the restricted and tight articulation on the front suspension. I would not recommend these bushings but would recommend the modified radius arms. Just make sure you know how much pinion angle change you need. If you have a CV (carden style) front driveshaft, the pinion needs to be in a straight line with the main tube on the driveshaft. If you have the stock driveshaft the pinion needs to be parralel with the output shaft of the transfer case. If this results in an excessive u-joint angle then you will need a CV driveshaft. The pinion/driveshaft angle relation is more important than the castor angle being to factory spec. This might cause a little wandering on the road or less returning to a straight line after turning. Probably not what you wanted to hear.

I just installed a CV front DS and still noticing a different type of vibration. Seems this vib occurs starting 50mph and up. I'll try disconnecting the rear ds and take it for a ride. My front pinion angle is as you described for a double cardon DS. Interestingly the GRRNK type sound went away. This new vib is more of a feel I guess.
