When inspecting the drive shaft to rear differentail connection - the rubber bushing which is bolted about 12 times from both sides, is cracking. I need a new one but I don't know what it's called.
What is the name of the rubber bushing?

It's called a Rotoflex.

Thanks, that was fast. Do you know how much one would cost?

Dealership opened so I checked with them. They call it a Flex Cuppler and the cost is $120.00
Just so you all know.

Call British Pacific, Rovernorth, Atlantic British, etc.

$70 seems about right to me.

I think Rover Connection was $80 something, but that's been awhile since I looked (don't need one anymore :) )

Rovers North has it for $69.50 plus shipping. Part number: TVF100010 You might want to check yours, especially if you tow.

Thanks Ron, I wasn't correcting you. I was just re-affirming your already correct data, and adding the part number. Take care.

I know Patrick. I just have a problem (rover addiction and a complete aversion to spending unnecessary money)

The reason why some of the roto-flexes/ couplings are more expensive is because they come with the extra little bushing that goes inside the back-end of the driveshaft.

Check that extra little bushing that goes inside the back-end of the driveshaft - if you're roto is chewed up and you've been vibrating, then that little bushing is probably shot, too. Just replacing the roto won't cure your ills. I found out the hard way. See also: http://www.discoweb.org/discus/messages/9/3833.html?1001435777#POST24143
