1. Is the OEM headlight lens glass or plastic (or a compound of plastic like acrilic)?

2. Has anyone ever successfully buffed out the pitting of plastic headlights caused by the sand blasting effect of highway driving.

2. Are E-code lamps for the Disco available here - how much - where?

Discussion:
Having just taken delivery of a 98 Disco I noticed the light patterns on the highway and recognize the symptoms of sand pitting on the "glass" of the lights which difusses the light and retards illumination. I'm wondering about doing a replacement job and am looking into the E-code headlights (I know they aren't "street legal" here). With that said, I'd like to hear some opinions from others and find out if my thoughts are worth persuing. If this is a topic that has already been beaten to death here just give me the string and I'll be happy to look backward when they get the search program up and running. Thanks

I've been searching on LRX but so far haven't had any hits. Nothing I put in results in a match. I've logged in and lit incense but everything comes up "0" matches. I was on earlier and posted a want add but the search forum just won't work for me? Suggestions?
