I have a '95 D1 that will not stay cranked when below say 30 degrees. It fires right up like normal, then immediately dies and will not restart. I had this problem at the end of last winter right after purchase but went away w/ summer so I have not taken care of. Now cold weather and problem are here again; gotta fix ! I heard there is a PROM upgrade part # PRM3360A. I had also heard to run 5/30 oil but I am running 10/30. Anyone had this PROM upgrade done ? Is this something I can do myself ? TIA

I would make sure that your coolant temp sender is working right. The ECU may not know the engine is cold.
