I purchased a D2 about a year ago & the dealer recommended replacing the engine. Disco has about 12,000 thousand miles. Seems fine w/ me but should I be concerned about anything? Also, this is covered under warranty, but curious what the cost would be.
Thx,
Joe

Joe, more information? Why is he suggesting replacement - using oil, no grunt, noises, what?

The reason for the replacement is a loud ticking sound. LRNA made a visit to the dealorship and advised the replacement.

I think all they're talking about is a valve job, the price tag looks like the price of a new engine, but you shouldn't need to replace the block. I don't really know though, those dealers can be tricky w/ their double talk.
