Hey all -

While doing some off roadin' with some friends this weekend, 2 or 3 times on the trip my right front hub (at least that's where it sounded like it was coming from...) made a fairly loud clicking/ratcheting noise. Every time it made the noise, it was during times of heavy suspension flex. Finished the trip without incident, car drove as it always does. When I got home, I checked it out and it appears that both front bearings have some play. Could this contribute to the noise? Is the preload on the bearings adjustable? I've not noticed any other strange noises from the front end, other than today.

Help!

Thanks,
Scott

Had the same 'clicking' when my whl brgs were needing tightening/repacking. Did that , adjusted the strg box and front end felt new again. Clicking historized.
