Since u guys were such a big help with my last problem I thought I would ask you about this. When I am running in drive the card runs ok, but when I slow to a stop it shifts into first extremely hard,(followed by a loud clank). But when I put it in 3, it runs and shifts just fine.
Thanks

New Owner!
I have a question for everyone.
Is it pretty normal for the older DISCO's to have a hard shift from different drives? (i.e, park to drive, drive to reverse?)
Just bought a 94, runs great, but has a "hard - thud" sound when i change drives (park to drive, reverse to drive) w/ brake on, but if i dont put foot on brake and shift, no clank or thud.
Also runs through gears well when im at a complete stop to a cruising speed with no clanks/thuds.
Is this weird or what!?
Also, does anyone know or heard of the transmission problems in the older DISCO's? If so, what type of sound/action/symptom should i be lookin for!
I appreciate everyones help!!
