I have seen pictices of a Series 2 with factory roof rack going all the way to the back. It seems to be just a extra bar. Are the roof rack rails the same between series 1 and 2? Has anyone seen these in the states? I like to get them for my Series 1?

Not an option. They're 7" too long & the necessary mounting holes in the body (behind the headliner, you still must cut holes in the roof) are not present in the D1.

I would like to know if there is an option for the D1 to extend the rails all the way to the rear of the roof. Do you know if that is possible? or you have to buy the D2 rails?
