Just noticed last night that the rubber hose (about 1 foot in length x about 3/4" OD) connecting the plenum to the left rocker cover (left, as you look into engine bay from front) is dry-rotted and cracked open. The Rover manual identifies this as "breather pipe between plenum chamber and rocker cover." Does anyone know if this is simply what it looks like - simple rubber hose that slips over two male fittings on plenum & rocker? Or is some fancy piece of high-tech hardware that can only be financed through Land Rover?

Thanks

Its just a hose , replace it with something that can take a little heat though...

just did this a month or so ago. when you pull the hose off of the rocker cover, you should see a little plastic thing, to keep the oil from coming up. you might want to clean this while you are at it.

i got my hose from Napa and cut to fit, but had to use a clamp on the plenum side, since it was smaller than the rocker side.
