I have a 96 disco with 75k. It has started to make a whine at around 30 mph. It is very noticeable while accellerating but hardly noticeable when you let off the gas. It is related to speed not engine rpm. In low range it starts at 15 mph instead. Any input?

My disco has always had a bit of a whine since the day I bought it. It sounds like a hum.. How loud a whine is it??

About 3/8 radio dial volume tunes it out. Probably twice as loud as the normal whines and hums.
