Any ideas on finding the best price on the new Good Year MTS tires. I am in the SF Bay Area. Any National Chain with a good price??

Thanks

What size tires?

I like the on-line tire shops since you can get better prices and in at least one place you will not pay shipping & taxes.

www.etires.com (free shipping, no tax)

www.tirerack.com (they don't sell BFG TA KO's)

www.tires.com (Limited tire selection)

I heard that Wal Mart has good prices too. If you have Discount Tire or America's Tire Co in your area you could do this. Go to www.tirerack.com, print out the price for that tire, go to Discount/America's Tire Co and show the price to them. Most likely they'll say, "we'll match that price" Minus the shipping cost from Discount/America's Tire Co! If they don't have yor tire in stock, you'll have to pay $20 or something.

I bought mine exactly one week ago, and paid $220 a tire at the GoodYear dealer, but I get $70 per tire back from Amex Blue cause I used the card and they will match any published price, which Tirerack.com had for $147.

I am happy to say that after 1400 miles the last week, that the tires ride better than stock, are quieter than stock, and have only worn down about half a millimeter.

Any other ideas on a good price?

The tires of which you speak are considered "Premium" tires by Goodyear. So don't expect a 'fire sale' anywhere. TireRack has the best prices when I was checking a couple of months back. The good news is that everyone who had them likes them (including me!).

Thanks,
