I changed my thermostat this morning. All is swell there, but I have coolant running out of the back of the engine somewhere. I am too big to get under the truck while it is sitting on level ground. I can not see where it is coming from. Does anyone know what is common to leak back there? What is involved to fix it? The truck got hot on my way home with the clogged thermostat. It almost hit the red H on the temp guage, but I was able to pull it over and stop for 15 minutes or so each time to limp it home. Please let me know what you think it could be.

Heater hoses on way to firewall? Is the coolant visible at the top of engine, on valley cover? The worst place it could be is the 3 welsh(freeze) plugs in the back of the block, under the flywheel - water from here will just come out bottom of bellhousing.

I can not get behind there to see for sure where it is coming from. I took it to a local shop this morning. I will have them look at it tomorrow. It is only leaking very, very slowly this morning, and only when the engine is running. I am praying that it is only a heater hose. The heat is working this morning, and it was not yesterday. I will let everyone know what the shop says tomorrow when they call me.
