I've got a full length Wilderness roof rack mounted on my Disco I. I put some fog lamps thereupon, but I'm looking for a good, tidy way of running the wires to inside the cabin. Any suggestions,...better yet, supported by pictures? I tried looking at all the photos in the gallery here, and couldn't get a close enough view of what other people are doing. Any help would be great!
Thanx
John W

You can get a small watertight stainless bulkhead fitting at most marine stores. There for running wire to the deck from the inside of a boat. This one is less than 3.00. fitting

three dollars for a stainless steel part at west marine? They charge you $3 for a sheetmetal screw!

ya smokin too much, Robert :)

For about five bucks, you can get a nice bulkhead feed-through - most likely, from the same West Marine, but it will be black plastic.

i have the same rack and have a pair of beefy hella 2000's up there. i just ran the wires (wrapped in electrical tape first) down the front legs of the rack then down the gutter and along the gasket along the windshield. then down into the engine along the fenders and to the existing fog light wires. i just tucked them in nicely along the windshield gasket and they have not moved. not even after a weekend at MAR with tons of branches and trees smacking the truck non-stop.
i can take pics tomorrow if you like. nothing pretty that is for sure.
