It's that time to get some lights up top. I want opinions on which should go up there. If I go with a round lamp, it is most likely going to be a hella 4000. I have been eyeing the FF300 because they are ovals. I will have less chance of taking them out, I always see my friends ligets getting bashed up top. Thanks,

I say go with HD axles, at least in the rear.

Look a Treks Web Site. The Have a Bar that bolts onto the adventur rack the will protect lights I think it's $250. I am also in the process of putting lights on too. I am planning on getting 7 Hella Rally 4000's 3 on SG Brush Bar and 4 on roof rack. What I need to Know is how many wiring kits should I get for 7 Lamps.

1 30 AMP relay per two 100 Watt bulbs.
Give the center on the bumper its own relay...
So...that's really 4 harness sets.
It's cheaper to make your own.
run 10 guage wire from the ALT for each pair...
fuse each line with a 20 or 30 amp fuse
and use 4 relays with 12 or 14 guage wire going to each light.
It's good to use a spool of 12 guage, because harnesses never seem to be long enough or too long!!
Good luck

i have 4 Hella 4k's, I believe I have a wire straight from battery to lights and switch with a 25amp fuse. If that makes sense, it's what i got.

that's good too Adam...does that switch get warm with no relays?? And that wire must be pretty thick too?
