What are your thoughts on carrying Gas in Nato cans? Safe and worth having? Best way to mount on a safety devices rack?

thanks,

carl

I use them on long trips. You can lay them flat on your roof rack without them leaking, so they are pretty safe. Some people carry them inside the truck too, but I'm not a big fan of that.

Kragen had red NATO-style jerrycans in stock for some time. Made in Lutvania or close.
I have one, had it on the roof rack of the disco, in any position - never leaked a drop. I had seven of these cans in Russia - never leaked a drop.

last Saturday, my brother had one come open and spill a couple of gallons of stuff inside his jeep. But I wouldn't blame the can for this happening :)
