On my 95 Disco I was searching in the engine bay for a faulty reason as to why I've been experiencing hard starts. Anyway I saw one of the sensors near the water pump on top (small brown one). It was kinda broken off so I removed it & decided to see if the Disco would start. It did start but immediately received the check engine light & fault code 14. I know how to clear it but do I need to replace that sensor & which one is it? TIA

It's the coolant temp sender. It tells the ECU the temp of the engine coolant. The ECU needs richen the mixture for cold starts.
