I have a 99 DSII. Up near the ceiling on the pillars (driver's side) are some things that look like speakers or microphones. Anyone know what they are?

yes.. when the truck is locked, it will set off the alarm if it senses movement inside the cab. Which is why you shouldnt lock up a D2 with the windows or sunroof open. Wind blowing through will set it off. I should say, it did with our '99 D2.

barometric pressure sensors they sense differances in the air pressure of the vehical to tell if there has been a break in.

Too many stops at a Taco Bell will also set them off!
