I recently purchased a 2000 Td5 with 25k on the clock. At 40k I noticed what I consider excessive brake disc wear - 1.2mm on each face at the front and 0.5mm at the rear. Either this vehicle was driven really hard before me in which case I need to talk to the previous owner or the discs are sub standard in which case I have a case for warrantee. Has anyone out there had this problem? The dealer is being unhelpful but I have picked up that LR has modified their discs on Defender for the same reason.
