Anyone had any problems with their blower continuing to blow at VERY reduced level when they switch the AC system OFF? The truck is a D2, 2000 yr. The blowing air is cool if temp control was in a cool setting when system shut down, and is heated if control was in a warm setting when shut down. We are in those few weeks a year here in Oklahoma when you can roll the windows down and actually enjoy it, so this problem is very annoying. Any suggestions? I'm still under warranty, but my dealer is a rip-off artist.

Can only answer based on my D1, but it sounds normal. it is not actually the blower, but it is air being directed to the ducts from outside. Your ducts should have on/off slides on each, use these if you want no airflow at all. On a D1 they are blue/white dots.

Actually this problem happens in most cars, it just seems more noticable in the disco. What is happeing is that outside air is being forced in by the motion of the car. I solved it by turning on the recycle before turning off the climate control.

Mine does the same thing - always blows hot air though. I just kick on the air at a cooler level for a few minutes and then shut it off - no problem.

In order to turn off the blower on your DII, you have to press the ECON button and then cycle the fan until it is not on (no black blips). You'll notice that if you push ECON again, the fan will come back on at level one. The ONLY way to shut off the fan is to use ECON.
It IS normal for the air to come through the vents even with the system off. If you notice, more air blows on you the faster you go. It's just air cycling through the vehicle.
If you want NO air blowing on you, then close the vents.
