I suffered some minor damage on my rear bumber during the last trip (Truck Haven Iron Chef). What Rear Bumper options are available for Disco 1?
Pros & Cons?
Price?
Home made?

Matt from TrekOutfitters has two stock bumpers he could part with. I will need one of them
Also, last night a fellow club member told me that a piece of 2x4 stuck in the end of the bumper, and a BFH do the trick. You can't be doing this forever, but it will work for the few times

i didn't know you got damage too - john and i are going to try and fix it ourselves.
too bad there isn't a good lightweight - small replacement we could use - i contacted greg davis and he's too swamped making d2 bumpers to even think about d1's right now.
i like the look of the trek rear bumper but its $1000.
there is the tjm - but not highly thought of - the kaymar - is big also and $$. the sg and the trek are also duckets - email me for more info

Its all about some dents in the bumper...that way you know you used it to the fullest potential offroad.....

it adds character to your truck. mine is twisted pretty good. i work with a steel fabricator in PA on various work related projects. they can build just about anything. i am thinking of designing my own on CAD and having them make me one. i know 0% about bumpers for the most part, but i am going to take some time to do this. copy stuff from others that have worked and a little artist license here and there.
maybe i will just wait til i really torque the thing and it's ready to fall off. the pics that someone posted here recently on their own rear bumper was pretty nice. especially for their first shot at it.

If your the Guy Making Seared Sea Scallops with Salmon Roe served over a Basil Leaf with a Carrs Cracker on Expedition you shouldnt have any trouble buying a Safari Gard Rear Bumper System.
Nice Canape - I Might Add - I would have skipped out in the greenery and Seared the Scallops in either Truffle Butter or Foie Gras Butter.
Sincerely,
A concerned Chef From Carmel, Indiana

I am not a huge fan of scallops, but Jay's were extremely good! Don't change them one bit

Tell me When the next Iron Chef will be - I can be there between the End Of January and the Beginning of August. The only reason is that believe it or not I am In Highschool and Im Going to Culinary School in NY In August. Here is a sample Menu of what I could do on Expedition.
First Course -
Wild Mushroom Puree with Toasted Brioche and Israeli Couscous Relish.
Second Course -
Seared Foie Grase over a Bed Of Duck Confit
Entree -
Olive Oil Poached Chilean Sea Bass with Butternut Squash Risotto.
Dessert -
Hell, If there is a Camp Fire there might as well be smores.'
Does that Tizzle Your Taste Buds or What.
